Liberty Central is excited to announce a video contest that will give you the opportunity to win an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC. The winner of this contest will meet Liberty Central's founder and CEO, Ginni Thomas, in addition to the other Liberty Central staff, as we all participate in a really cool march: the 2nd Annual March on DC on September 12, 2010. We have more exciting news - Scott Leigh (see more about Scott at www.scottleigh.com) wrote and produced a song for Liberty Central entitled "Get Your Liberty On." Scott's freedom to compose music and use his creativity is a great example of why experiencing the joys of Liberty in America is so important.

Following on Scott's theme, we ask that you put on your thinking hat, get your creative juices flowing, and produce your own short video showing how you, your family, your friends, or your co-workers experience Liberty in America.
It's time to Get Your Liberty On! Here are some ideas to spark your creativity: - Children playing, having fun, and jumping on a trampoline as they Get Their Liberty On!
- A dancer joyfully dancing because she is Getting Her Liberty On!
- A runner leaping over an object as they leap for liberty and Get Their Liberty On!
- Your family's video of exploring American historical sites to show how you Get Your Liberty On!
- Someone at a town hall asking tough questions and showing others how to Get Your Liberty On!
- A new American citizen explaining the feeling of liberty as he or she Gets Their Liberty On!
- Pictures of a tea party rally where great Americans Get Their Liberty On!
- A military veteran speaking about fighting for liberty and protecting our right to Get Our Liberty On!
- An immigrant speaking about the greatness of our nation!

There are a lot of ideas and you probably have one in your head right now. Jot the idea down, call your friends, and send us a video of how you Get Your Liberty On, or how you are stretching to express support for Liberty!
As an added bonus, you can even use Scott's music in your video, which can be purchased inexpensively at www.scottleigh.bandcamp.com. However, you are free to use any music that you choose or no music at all!
The contest runs from Sunday, August 15th through Sunday, August 29th and the winner will be announced via email and on our website on September 2nd.
The Grand Prize for the winning video is an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC on September 11th through September 13th, 2010. On September 12th, the winner will march for liberty with the Liberty Central staff in the 2nd Annual March on DC. The winner will receive a roundtrip ticket from their hometown to Washington, DC and a hotel room for September 11th and 12th. The winner will also receive $200 for purchasing food, tips, and other incidentals.
Entrants must provide the following in the email:
- Contact Information: Name, Address, Phone Number & Email Address
- The Title of your video
- Acknowledgement that you have read the Rules and Regulations
- Permission to use the video as noted in the Rules and Regulations
- The link to where you posted the video
- If necessary, a password to access the video
Criteria for Judging
The videos must not exceed 90 seconds in length. The video must be in .wmv, .avi, .mov, or .mpg file formats. Video must not exceed 500MB total size. Any video that does not meet these requirements will be disqualified from this contest.
Contestants must direct viewers to Liberty Central's web site www.libertycentral.org at some point during the video.
Videos must include either the spoken or written phrase, "Get Your Liberty On."
Entries will be judged by the team members of Liberty Central for creativity and originality; technical accuracy; visual and audio quality, and content of the message. Liberty Central reserves the right to not select a winner if none of the entries are deemed of sufficient quality based on the criteria.
