MEMO from LIBERTY CENTRAL to our 378 organizational friends across the conservative movement and over 460 new grassroots citizen leaders!
Dear Colleagues in the Movement:
President Obama's policies are fundamentally transforming the United States, meaning that there are only 80 days until the most important election in our lifetime. You and I are doubling down our efforts because our unique vantage points give us the eyes to see and the ears to hear what is happening. To best leverage our capabilities, I humbly ask that we consider even more ways of working together in the coming days, weeks, and months - to preserve what makes this country great. We welcome your suggestions to the possible opportunities and are showcasing three below.
Overview
Every day, we see "new citizen activists" who have yet to encounter the abundance of resources within the "established conservative" community. We see devoted Hill staff working with weary elected patriots who defend conservatism on the Hill, but don't know the best ways to connect with the new, emerging citizen activists. We see tea party folks who also care about national security or religious liberty issues and want a way to raise the profile of these issues, as well as the economic and limited government issues most focus on so well already. We see an "entrepreneurial class" that is hemorrhaging from its losses, but is scared to death of collaborating with many of us. We see the alternative media way ahead of us all, starting with talk radio hosts who identify problems at the onset of the issue, while the mainstream media continues to act as a lapdog for the Obama Administration's propaganda and elitism.
Most important, we know that so many of us care for the Constitution and founding principles like free enterprise, limited government, individual liberty, personal responsibility, and national security. We also understand that a common core of Americans is rising up to protect these principles against the very Ruling Class elitists that Angelo Codevilla wrote of here in the American Spectator and of which Rush Limbaugh spoke on July 19th.
Did you notice that the left's reaction to the tea party movement was to form a One Nation coalition of 175 groups? This is the battle of our lifetime and, in order to be our most effective, we must connect with each other. There are many emerging and existing partnerships and we simply want to aid that sort of informal but effective collaboration.
Ours is not a partisan exercise; it is about founding principles and restoring what is great about America before it is too late. No partner of ours believes in a third party, but many of us do see problems in both parties. This exercise is about principles, not parties, and it just may be "The Next Reagan Revolution" that we are about to experience.
Liberty Central's Latest Focus
LibertyCentral.org is a flexible, fast website that gives those of us in "Paul and Paulette Revere" mode the capability to spread the word quickly to others. We focus on the largest threats to our founding principles and look for partners along the way. Our vision is to equip citizen leaders to lobby for liberty.
We humbly offer to partner with you to build the connectivity that continues to bind us together as a movement with smarter efforts and smarter messaging, allowing folks to not reinvent any wheels. Our website serves as a tool for gathering, and we welcome ways to partner and promote your issues and matters of common interest! It has taken from May 23 to this day to get us up "with training wheels" and now we can really start rollin'.
We have named August as "Accountability Month." September will be "Galvanizing Month" and October will be "Mobilization Month!"
This week, we announced the 30 Senate and House races we see as target races to provide us with a more constitutionally inclined Congress; we know there are more races and we hope you can help us complete this set of focused races by Labor Day (if your tax status permits it). A 501(c)(4) can easily engage in traditional 501(c)(3) activities, but also move closer to the lines of positioning on issues and elections.
With the valuable partnership of the Leadership Institute, we launched online training that helps citizen leaders find valuable resources for use in the home or among small communities of patriots. This is at libertycentraltraining.org , and we welcome you sending others to this site or helping us find new topics we can use to video and train with you!

1. We also invite you to join us in a Google Group for RestoreLiberty, a coalition of advocacy organizations to talk, share ideas, coordinate and protect and restore Liberty! RestoreLiberty, a constitutional coalition of 501c4s, or willing others, can be joined by contacting Kellen Giuda at Kellen@libertycentral.org before September 1. I have seen the value of Google group discussions and encourage the discussion to be one of collaboration around the many fall events and efforts underway!
Sept 9-12 in Washington is one such area in need of more promotion and marketing across the board, as I assume Glenn Beck will turn out his folks for August 28th. People are spending their own real money to attend one or both of these and each person coming to any of these events is "a Patriot Angel" in our minds!
